6453 - Letter to an English friend III
N. Lygeros
Translation: Paola Vagioni
I haven’t received any news from you yet, but I know that you don’t forget either. I learned that your compatriots gave a prize to the New Acropolis Museum and I imagined that maybe my English friend played a part in this initiative. In any case, I wanted you to know that I enjoyed it, because this exactly demonstrates the intention of our people to act together for the future of civilization. Then again, this initiative is not a political decision and you are right. However, it is a human action and you know how much more important it is not only for me, but for my entire people. Since these actions alone are relevant with the values and not only with the principles. Moreover, it is a beginning in this new fight that overturns rivalry, to convert it into a complementary structure. The people have at last accepted that the space that waits for time is the New Acropolis Museum. Ιt is no longer then a simple return, but a real unification that does not have a national purpose in its degenerated sense, but inside it there is the aim of completeness. And who else but us can better understand this need of civilization and humanity? And something else, before I leave you. I received a letter from another friend from China and I remembered the opus of Archimedes and Liu Hiu about the number π. The circle becomes bigger, but the center remains the same.
Your Greek friend.
