We flew over the spears at Thermopylae
and the warships’ sails in Salamis
to become the blue wings
to protect our sky
no matter the cost
with the courage and fist of the light
for, we know that we now exist
because our own had then existed
the ones who neither did they kneel nor stoop down
no matter how hurt our motherland was.
