At the Armenian home
together we decided to help
the other victims as well
without waiting
for the Assyrians
to manage alone,
because we all knew
that they are fewer
and whilst
they had experienced the same
and roughly survived
a genocide
nobody was listening
their history
and their pain
while their culture
was and is
a sample of humaneness,
thus the young and the old
wanted to prove
with their resolution
that they are indeed
their fellowmen.
