At the station of Paris, the train was preparing to leave towards the East, to Constantinople. The people were not leaving for the same reasons but the Lady with the strange hat was already there. She had an appointment with an unknown. It was there that the Master had seen her for the first time, when the disciple didn’t exist yet. In her hand she was holding a distinctive envelope. She had to deliver it just before she would leave abroad. Her gaze was empty like a chessboard without pieces and the Master was wondering if she was only a pawn. The stranger did not speak, but she recognized him. His uniform was secular but his moves revealed that he was a priest. He took the envelope and immediately afterwards the Lady went towards the train. When she climbed the steps, she turned around and saw the Master who had his gaze nailed on her. She got anxious for a moment, but after she understood that he was with her. She smiled and disappeared inside the wagon.
