15943 - The Sacred Alliance
N. Lygeros
Translated from the Greek by Vicky Baklessi
Outside it was raining hard as if the sky was crying.
No one knew yet about the secret negotiations.
Everybody expected for the others to change their position.
For months no one had moved
While there was a need.
Tremendous need.
The trip to Malta had taken years.
But within his spirit it was as if it were yesterday.
The past and the future were always together.
At least in spirit.
The time for change had come .
He could not wait any longer.
He was already for month in need on the another island.
At the edge of the East.
Only in Venice the water rose.
High.
As his frustration.
But he had infinite strengths.
He looked out the window.
He saw the reflection of the Moon.
Each wave changed it.
Then he thought the unthinkable.
The spirit of sea.
In Venice he had infiltrated the City.
While everyone thought that he belonged to earth
he already knew the truth
for centuries.
Time was with him.
But the others were not with Time.
The rain stopped.
The water wasn’t lifting the moon any longer.
He had to sink half of it.
So he decided.
He would leave before the negotiations
to catch up.
He saw already the victims of barbarity.
And prepared for the counter attack.
For continuity.
The eagle would fly yet again.
With the hawks and the lions.
