The European Parliament through its office in Cyprus is preparing for the ceremony which signifies a historical landmark for the project EuroAsia Interconnector which will reinforce the European network of electrical distribution and will terminate the energy isolation of Crete, Cyprus and Israel. This electrical cable which will have a length greater than 1000 klm and will transfer 2 GW which will be produced by the combustion of methane which derives from the hydrocarbon fields of the three countries, changes strategically the map of the Eastern Mediterranean and connects it practically with the European Union. In this ceremony, which will take place in the House of the European Union in Nicosia, all three studies will be officially awarded to the companies that were chosen after their participation in the biding process. These studies are as follows: one is a technical and technological study, the other one is a bathymetric study and another the complete environmental studies. For strategic but also geopolitical reasons, it will be attended by the Minister of Energy of Cyprus and of course the Ambassadors of Greece, of Israel and of Italy since all these countries participate in the construction and the passage through their EEZ , the EuroAsia Interconnector cable. In this manner the entire project moves onto a new phase which prepares its immediate implementation, something that means that its dynamic transforms also our noosphere for the given data of the Eastern Mediterranean.
