25066 - The void authority
Ε. Conophagos, N. Lygeros
Translated from the Greek by Athena Kehagias
The void authority is dangerous not only because its by nature pro inactivity, but also because it allows for other players to take initiatives.
Therefore it’s capable to lose without ever playing.
Ιn that manner of course it continues its absurd path, and is situated totally outside the game theory context, as that is based on the fact that all players function rationally.
The voidance of authority in regards to the Aegean is also problematic, and it’s no coincidence that we see more and more interference from NATO, which considers that the situation between Greece and Turkey is out of hand.
Because nobody in actual fact has faith on the refugee agreement and furthermore the external factors who are witnessing the anomalies re: the whole case.
Therefore, instead of us talking in a straight forward manner regarding the Greek EEZ, we ended up, due to inactivity, to be dealing with the Aegean status, as if we haven’t any other problems to solve associated with our islands.
Therefore, when the voidance of authority opens Pandora’s box, and simultaneously the void authority prepares for elections because it’s not quite secure even amongst its own, and within its own space, what else can we say at a geostrategic level?
And this preparation seems increasingly intense as time goes on, of course not due to the evaluation, which finally resembles merely a pretext, but because of substantial inactivity at all levels.
The hydrocarbon sector case is one of the most impressive ones, as while we have a licensing round taking place, which originally regarded 20 maritime plots and finally merely three.
The worst is that Egypt is progressing very dynamically with a new authorization regarding 28 plots, as it has realized that with the phase change caused by the discovery of the Zohr hypergigantic reserve there is a great interest from oil companies for the Egyptian EEZ.
If we were now to add to this the Cypriot mobility re: the matter, we can see how big the voidance of authority realy is.
