My Lord I never asked you for nothing
even on that day that I died on that island.
I always felt free even though I was beleaguered
even when I lost my life for the second time.

But now that my death lived and I am no longer near them
I plead… do not abandon my brothers.

Now that all the stars in the universe are out
don’t allow my homeland to become a prison.
