9747 - EEZ or servility
N. Lygeros
Translated from the Greek by Athina Kehagias
As if it’s not enough that we’re all fighting in order to promote the issue of the Greek Exclusive Economic Zone, so that our homeland will finally obtain the right which belongs to her, but we must also deal with servility as well. As if it’s not enough that we should’ve had EEZ years ago, and because of the inaction, the incompetence and the inertia, the Greek nation is still waiting, but they also want to apologize with artificial pretexts. As if it’s not enough that they haven’t read the Law of the Sea, they are trying to frighten the non aware ones with arbitrariness. Cyprus has had its EEZ established since 2004 without causing any associated reaction, in our homeland however we still have serviles who are afraid of their own shadow. The proclamation of the EEZ always occurs unilaterally, and no other way is applicable. We will keep repeatedly saying it, so that everyone will learn about it, and that they wouldn’t obtain the excuse of ignorance. Those who will be against the EEZ will no longer be those unrelated with the issue, but of course the actual rivals of our homeland. Our nation has no need to hear hens yelling about the risks, as it’s bored and tired with it, and it can well see the results of their action. How much lower must the economy of our country reach in order for them to admit their mistakes. They don’t even need an enemy to behave as they do. They’ve got us all fed up with the strategic depth of a spokesperson. They are trying to explain to us the value of a new doctrine that has existed for centuries on. They are trying to create the impression that the EEZ is a political party game, whereas in actual fact the EEZ constitutes a national issue that nobody has the right to capitalize on. The economic situation in Greece doesn’t allow us the luxury of beating about the bush. If we want our serviles to have such discussions even after the establishment of the EEZ, in order for them to actually deal with something, it will not bother us in the least, or else they ought to finally read the Law of the Sea. Because the establishment of the Greek EEZ will occur whether they like it or not, and unless they are botherer residing in a country which obtains an EEZ, the EEZ will also occur for them, but for our traitors as well, and we have no problem with it. What matters is merely for us to escape from the generation of the crisis, the depression and the defeatism, and to become the generation of the EEZ. The generation which managed to leave something substantial for the future of the children. Because this is what’s proper. To stop the lamentation and the constant wondering of “how did we end up like that my friend.” And to finally change our attitude, because whether we like it or not “there’s a lot at stake. . ‘! Afterwards there’ll be a salary even for our serviles.
