3754 - The color of Time
N. Lygeros
Translated from the Greek by Angeliki Papadopoulou
When I opened your notebooks
I understood for the first time
what the color of Time means.
At first I stared only
its traces at the paper
and didn’t see the color.
I had to touch the coal
the pencils, the paintbrushes
and the chalks in order to see.
Only this way I could touch
the depth of the forehead
and the object of the text.
Upon the thin lines
I read the notion of Time
like an invisible musical score.
Only there you wrote the need
of creation and resistance
but no one noticed it.
But now with your notebooks
I open again
the forgotten world.
