Translated from the Greek by Athena Kehagias
The ministerial decision was officially announced, and it constitutes yet another innovation for Cyprus which is progressing at spectacular speeds on the EEZ issue, especially if we compare it with the situation that exists in Greece.
The third licensing round, is a phase change for Cyprus and this occurs at the time that we are discussing problems which will not utilize the EEZ data.
We have yet another proof, that the dynamics of the EEZ function as a catalytic and doesn’t stop at meaningless obstacles, because it follows along the steps of Cyprus’s high strategy, and not local and partisanly petty cash interests.
Cyprus has now the potential to exploit the fact that there are within her EEZ, not only strategic reserves, but such reserves of the Zohr type, which are three at this point, and are hypergigantic ones as well.
Cyprus does not merely continue its course, but it actively enhances the overall context of her energean functions.
With that third licensing round, we can observe that the dynamics of the second one, continue and they become utilized.
The marketability of the Aphrodite reserve is proof which works as a tool, in order to persuade oil companies, so that they may become candidates.
At the same time Cyprus indicates the path that must be followed by Greece regarding the second licensing round, since there are four Zohr type reserves in our EEZ.
In other words, the third licensing round comes to alter the surrounding climate, and to make it appear even more positive, so that we can show everyone, both onshore and abroad, that the EEZ is indeed a dominant tool for the future of Cyprus within Europe and within the Mediterranean, without irrational fears and concerns.
