23416 - Working class people
N. Lygeros
Translated from the Greek by Athena Kehagias
Working class people don’t need to constantly say that they are such, because they are so by nature, and they simply belong to that part of the population.
Whereas, others pretend to be of the people, by the people, and for the people, because they see voters and they want their vote, although they don’t believe in anything at all, and they are under the impression that history is died and buried.
Their problem is that the “misfits” with their tractors are coming to dismiss the hallucination that populism wants to cause through persuasion.
Because populism is not an element of the people.
Of course it’s functional as long as there are no real problems around, and we are merely referring to the virtual reality of partisanship.
Being of and or, pro the people, is not a characteristic, but your actual entity.
There is not an issue of pretense, and there’s no need to play a role, but you simply live and are just that.
There is nothing additional or superficial about it.
And the difference makes the difference.
There’s no need for farmers to speak about the primary sector, in order to convince the rest that they are really interested.
Their entire life itself is a proof of what they are addressing.
In this sense, the people of the earth, are the people of our homeland without any exceptions.
If the government really wanted to help farmers, it would’ve, long ago and more actively promoted the zeolite issue, and the Greek one more specifically, since we well know how beneficial it is for the quality of products, water saving, the avoidance of heavy pesticides, the natural detoxification, and for productivity increase.
And all these practically mean that there would be an improvement in the farmers standard of living, which doesn’t leave them in the misery of their situation due to the unacceptable economic conditions they are forced to suffer.
It’s unacceptable to leave them alone to bear the whole weight of the primary sector.
Enough with this hypocritical verbalism, let’s move on to actions.
Otherwise it makes no sense to merely state that we are of the people in the election banners.
The farmers are not only voters, but they are our own people who take care of all of the rest, in a direct way.
And if they need help, we should come to their aid and effectively so at that.
