23249 - Chronostrategic alliances

Translated from the Greek by Athena Kehagias
When we examine the current situation, almost reflexively we tend to forget the past and to emphasize merely in the present, in order to predict the future.
But Chronostrategy comes to refute this idea, because the flow of Time is not smooth, and because there are bridges.
When Spain ended the Reconquista after six eons, in 1492, and she was liberated from the Arabs, she realized that a new danger had appeared from the East, because after the fall of Constantinople in 1453, the Ottoman Empire wanted to devour the entire Mediterranean.
And as soon as it began to gain ground in the Western Mediterranean, after the fall of Rhodes in 1522, the decision was made in 1530 to allow Malta to the Hospitallers.
They began immediately to build their battering ram defense, because they knew that they would receive a tough siege due to their actions against the barbarism of the Sublime Porte.
It is therefore a decision of the Christian Europe at high strategy level.
The island of Malta was given by Emperor Charles V, who was king of Spain as well until 1556, to the fearless knights who were involved in the struggle in Tunisia in 1535.
In 1550 they burned down the port Mahdia, where warships of Dragut were directed, and ended up receiving a terrible revenge in 1551, when the entire population of Gozo (the island next to Malta) would be enslaved.
Consequently, the Great Siege of Malta in 1565 was expected.
Therefore, after the heroic resistance of the Knights, the Spaniards helped at the end, and the liberation of Malta enhanced the entire Western Mediterranean, forcing the Ottomans, following their defeat in 1571 in the Battle of Lepanto, to be restricted to land paths in order to make further attacks against Europe.
