22349 - From genocide to the rights of Humanity

Translated from the Greek by Vicky Baklessi
Ever since Raphael Lemkin managed to provide as a gift the term genocide to Humanity in order to protect legally its entity against barbarism, we continue the course through the rights of indigenous peoples, in order to conceptually move on to the Rights of Humanity. There is a structural transfer from the reparation process which includes the recognition of genocide, the penalization of non recognition, the writing of common history books, the restitution of properties, the claiming of territories, to the deduction of rights through the crimes against Humanity. Because Lemkin showed us the beginning and those who admire and understand his work, they see him as a baton in a human relay race against barbarism. And just like the notion of genocide in international law was missing, we now realize that we need the Rights of Humanity in order to continue this crusade of humane justice against barbarism of genocide which makes use of chronociders, so that nothing remains. In this manner we continue by generalizing also the concept of humanitarian intervention of Brauman and Kouchner, the right of intervention of Revel which is based on the ecumenical Declaration of Human Rights.
