Even at this point of time, Greek politicians continue to believe that we virtually have no hydrocarbon reserves, and furthermore they go on making unacceptable statements with foreign countries, which also have access to the sea, whereas, our own give the impression that even that is unknown to them.
In order for someone to continue to insist, that hydrocarbons exist only in Muslim countries, makes him totally unrelated to energean issues.
Whereas, pointing it out in order to highlight a complementarity factor, then he must be lacking in the history sector.
The Eastern Mediterranean gives prominence to both Greece and Cyprus, which together obtain the largest EEZ in the Mediterranean Sea.
Additionally, between them they obtain 33 marine plots, which actually means that they practically have at least the same number of target reserves.
The interest paid, not only by the European Commission, which is practically obvious from its list of Projects of Common Interest, but also by foreign companies, such as Nobel, Delek, Avner, ENI, Kogas,Total, and of late, the British Group, is evidence of a reality which seems to be completely unknown to some ministries, which at least formally give you the opportunity to get an inside in what’s happening abroad.
But yet again we see that ignorance prevails, even if it’s a result of dogmatism.
However we should finally get rid of it, because reality has already surpassed both the way of thinking, and the supposed visions of some ministries.
