20694 - Two trilaterals, one strategy

Translated from the Greek by Vicky Baklessi
With the two trilaterals: Egypt – Greece-Cyprus and Greece and Greece-Israel-Cyprus, we follow one strategy. It is that of the EEZ. We can make three demarcations to strengthen our common filed. This way, we bring into realization our energy alliances and the interconnection with the European Union, since both the electrical cable and the pipeline belong to the Projects of Common Interest of the European Committee. It is these trilaterals that we must prepare well so that they operate actively from September without further delay. It is not an issue of impressions here, everyone knows what it is about, since we speak of diachronic horizontal strategy on the Mediterranean axis. So it is important to support our positions in practice, so that also our allies will see that we will play a significant role. And that the difficulties we are going through are not an obstacle for us, but an opportunity for reconstruction of our strengths, so that we be redeployed within the action field of energy. We mustn’t concentrate on the details and lose the substance. Economy doesn’t change without strategy. Economy is a measure, not a solution. Here we have strategic alliances which release powerful strengths of robustness for our Nation.
