Translated from the Greek by Athena Kehagias
A few years ago, the term “war reparations” was not unknown to most, but they nevertheless believed, that it was utopian in regards to the period data.
Yet, we see that gradually the sector regarding genocide, crimes against humanity and war crimes is evolving, because we have more and more recognitions, in a chain reaction, where one helps the other, in order to have more powerful effects.
After the recognition of the Armenian genocide by the Pope and the President of Germany, now, in the context of the anniversary for the 70 years since the end of Second World War, it’s the Chancellor herself who recognized the responsibilities of the Nazi regime, for the war crimes committed at that period, which constitute one of the darkest pages of human history.
With this statement, the position of Greece is openly justified.
So, we are no longer talking about the quaint, who try to promote the issue, but about fighters who continue the necessary work.
Germany stated that it is guilty as a successor state, for the atrocities of the past in many countries. There isn’t only our case, and this is important for the court cases, as strategically, all cases may constitute the foundation of a strategic sample, which offers greater potential for the justification of our claims regarding war reparations.
