19442 - The Afterlife

N. Lygeros
Translated from the Greek by Athena Kehagias

For centuries on, everyone had believed that Hellenism had died, without questioning the fact.
In actual fact, Hellenism was transformed and had taken another appearance for the others.
After the victory of the Roman Empire, it had had become romiosyni in order to survive.
This evolution was only perceived by those who experienced it.
The following ones, did not understand that it was a multicyclicity cycle change .
Therefore, they had the impression that Hellenism was dead.
And faith seemed the only means of preserving and saving the nation.
They were wrong though.
And they had not anticipated that.
Due to the emergence of a new religion, they gained an enemy that was not bothered by the use of barbarism.
Also due to fear and intimidation, a new phenomenon occurred.
Religious conversion.
For Hellenism it was meaningless.
Because quite simply, you could not seize to be Greek.
Except of course for those who merely considered the context of religion.
The nation did not change.
It already lived through its timelessness.
In regards to Byzantium, whoever didn’t know that it was the new continuity of Hellenism, they simply founded their positions solely on religion.
That’s when other problems began.
