As much as the government institute of Turkey beats itself, we shall not fall into rhetorical traps. It is trying to create chaos, while things are quite simple. The recent decision of the European Parliament relies on vocabulary that has been accepted by the European Union in 1987 and actually with Greece’s initiative for the recognition of the Genocide of the Armenians. Therefore it does not concern an innovation, but simply a reminder due to the 100 year anniversary. This way, combining with the statements of the Pope, that were made for the first time in such a clear manner, as far as the use of the word Genocide, it is meaningless for the government institute of Turkey to present it as a conspiracy. Actually this occurs at the time when the pro bono consultant of the Prime Minister of Turkey uses the same vocabulary. The accusation of Genocide relates specifically to the end of the Ottoman Empire, the regime of the Young Turks and the regime of Kemal. Now the problem for Turkey is simply that there was no Turkish politician to speak clearly about the Genocide and for Turkey to take position as a successor state, as Germany did with the Genocide of the Jewish people. Therefore there is no conspiracy framework. It simply concerns the coordination of humans that struggle against barbarity for the Rights of Humanity.
