These are the true statements of the Total oil company, and in written form at that.
Therefore we can see, that all the journalists who rushed to write their “revealing” articles about the departure, have not even entered the context of discretion and or data evaluation.
They also gave us lots of excuses, in order to explain this “fact” which never occurred.
So we had many versions, from, the price of oil, to Turkey’s interventions.
While examining the new Navtex, we saw that it concerned marine plots 1, 8 and 12, therefore not at all 10 or 11, where Total is based, and that the Turkey’s seismic is still stagnating in Famagusta’s port, without making not even one action.
We saw that the interest of the French company in the Cypriot EEZ has not changed.
We saw that the Italian company continues its drilling of the deposit Amathusa, right after the drilling of the deposit Onasagoras, without a pause.
Yet, they tried to alarm the people of Cyprus with the supposed statements which were of cource made informally.
And the question is this: why should we not just listen to all these statements which are official and in written form, instead of them bombarding us with information that has not been confirmed and is in actual fact unreliable?
Why should they alarm the people and make them wonder, if the hydrocarbon issue has any gravity?
Just to sell newspapers?
Is that the only thing which interests them?
Or does it all just derive from a good-natured ignorance?
In any case, all these that occurred are unacceptable, because the Cypriot EEZ is among the most important perspectives of Cyprus, not only in regards to the energy, the geoeconomics, the geopolitics, but also for the liberation of Cyprus.
Because when you have such an arrow in your quiver, you utilise it, and you don’t waste it in meaningless movements, because it is capable to alter the data of decades.
