Epirus contributed so much to Greece and it now considers that it’s one of the forgotten places.
It feels that it’s merely a passage for most, whereas it constitutes a source of history for Hellenism, and not only at a specific chronic phase, but throughout many.
During the National Revolution through the contribution of the Filiki Etairia, the phase change it caused was of the most substantial.
But of course now, some will say that it’s one of the poorest regions of Greece and in great need of development, but the hydrocarbon licensing round has exactly this purpose.
As, since there is mineral wealth, it’s unacceptable if its not utilised in order to aid towards the recovery of the entire region.
Thrace doesn’t differ to Epirus in that aspect, and we can see all the efforts made in its case.
Additionally, we are not about to forget the Northern Epirus.
Because, as some postmodern ones are directing matters to, we ought to, not only forget all about it, but to place within a parenthesis the Greekness of the entire region, in odrer for us not to be bothersome.
Whereas the truth is simple and historical, since its romiosini is granted.
Quite simply some take advantage of those economic difficulties and by artificially concealing some of these needs they are trying to pass on other messages to Epirus.
But the Epirotans obtain a memory and don’t fall into such traps so easily.
Because in Epirus the concept of the continuity of Hellenism is neither difficult nor artificial, but simply a reality deeply rooted within the spirit of the Greeks.
Consequently, Epirus was always within the battles of our homeland, and likewise it will continue.
