Translated from the Greek by Athina Kehagias

It is important to keep in mind that the problems we are experiencing in Artsakh have as a source of evil, the decision of the Bolsheviks with Stalin, to integrate this region into Azerbaijan, although 95% of the population were Armenians.
That occurred the 4th of July 1921.
It was one way for Stalin to control the entire region and to reduce the objective value of Armenia.
It is a tangible example of an encroachment of the human rights and a civilization.
The Azeris already wanted to take possession of the region.
The 1813 Treaty of Golestan (city of Artsakh) , between the Russian Empire and the Persian Empire clarified where Artsakh would be situated.
In 1868 however, it was integrated within the government of Elizabethpol.
Thereafter, after its disintegration, Artsakh found it self isolated from Armenia, and it was integrated as an autonomous region (область) within Azerbaijan.
The change only came about in 1988 when the Armenians of Artsakh decided that they were a soviet state of perestroika.
In actual fact, Azerbaijan in vain demanded its return from Mikhail Gorbachev.
The Independence procedure began in 1991
Then, Azerbaijan invalidated its autonomy, and resulted to the pogrom against the Armenians, even in Baku
