We have passed through to yet another stage in regards to the EEZ issue, since the EEZ delimitation Agreement between Greece and Italy was finally voted on.
It is important to bring to mind that the Continental Shelf delimitation Agreement with Italy was signed back in 1977, and was ratified in 1980.
Whereas now, the approval occurred within the same year and this is indicative of the need there is at national level, to clarify our positions within the country as well.
Therefore, we are happy that the members of parliament from New Democracy, SYRIZA and KINAL, voted for the Greek-Italian agreement because this action indicates that there is a national position which is hyper nonpartisan.
It is of importance therefore, that we all move on together and responsibly, at a strategic level, against Turkey’s provocation.
Because it is the work we produce together which leaves a trace and it constitutes a shield against barbarism.
In addition, Greece is clearly constructive and points across to her allies that she is credible and that she is producing a task which upgrades the data in the Mediterranean.
After all, Greece is showing increasingly that she is a stabilizer in the region.
And it is not at all a coincidence that we are doing all the more military exercises with the USA, France, Italy and Cyprus.
