50147 - The hidden room

Ν. Λυγερός

When we entered this room
it was dark and we had to
find candles
and light them…
Only then we realized that we were
in a music field…
There were musical instruments everywhere
and we specifically noticed
flutes of all sizes
with the characteristic thumb holes
but the baroque fingering as well,
many guitars, mandolins
but also the stringed: violin, viola, cello and contrabass.
Afterwards we noticed scores.
We’ve recorded the entire list.
Monteverdi (1567-1643)
Lully (1632-1687)
Purcell (1659-1695)
Vivaldi (1678-1741)
Because we had musicians between us
we’ve decided to play
a few pieces from each of them
so as to get the taste of this eon.
Each piece complemented the others
in order for the music of the then Humanity to live.
