Translated from the Greek by Athina Kehagias

It is now effectual thanks to the meeting of the two foreign ministers of Morocco and Greece, as the two countries have a mutual position in regards to two national issues: on the one hand, regarding the proposal for autonomy for the Moroccan Sahara, since Greece has clearly stated that it supports its credibility at a national level, and on the other side, the unacceptable character of Turkey’s memorandum in regards to the issue of the EEZ delimitation.
We therefore see that, two issues which at first glance seem, completely different and totally unrelated have allowed for a reciprocal win-win statement to take place, just when no one would previously bet on it.
This alliance between the two countries should not be merely circumstantial, and it would be good to become enhanced, because the problem of the EEZ delimitation has consequences for both Greece and Morocco.
Because Greece is negotiating with Cyprus, Egypt and Italy as well, whereas Morocco has to do the same with Portugal and Spain.
As far as the Moroccan Sahara issue is concerned, as it constitutes a United Nations issue, it is good to have Greece’s support in the context of the resolution.
Additionally, Greece’s position allows for an opening towards Cyprus who could now follow the example without an obstacle, as she herself is directly concerned about the issue of the illegitimate memorandum in regards to the Law of the Sea and the Oceans.
