47809 - The time of the Hellenic American Alliance

Translated from the Greek by Athina Kehagias

The triple signing in regards to the East-Med Pipeline, functions as a catalyst for the Prime Minister’s meeting with the President of America: Firstly due to the enhancement of the relationship with Israel which obtains a strategic bond with USA, secondly due to the path opening for Exxon Mobil which is playing an active role both within the Cypriot EEZ and the EEZ of Greece, thirdly due to the support of the defense agreement, and fourthly due to the search for a stabilizing state.
Consequently, the meeting of the two Heads of State has a positive context.
Thereon, the arrival of the Greek Prime Minister and his contacts with the Greek community have a positive impact upon the American President who has to solve internal problems and run for the presidential election campaign.
This means that the field is positive as well.
It is easier to establish a strategic alliance for the action field, than to demand an absolute condemnation of Turkey’s irrational actions in the Eastern Mediterranean.
It is more efficient to move along the theme to support a superstructure than to attempt in vain to force it to negate a state of equilibrium.
What is substantial regarding the action field is that America is no longer in the phase of neutrality and it’s approaching matters parallel to the glance of Hellenism due to high strategy which produces common interests.
