47258 - Turkey avoids references to the Treaty of Paris

In all these provocative moves made by Turkey, it never makes reference to the 1947  Treaty of Paris which overlaps both the Lausanne Treaty of 1923 and the Sevres Treaty of 1920 regarding the Dodecanese.
And she results to that deliberately of course, because she refuses to admit that in Article 14 by which Italy abandons all its rights in the Dodecanese, it’s followed by Article 15 of the Treaty of Lausanne where Turkey abandons all its rights in the Dodecanese for the benefit of Italy.
Therefore the President of Turkey only makes reference to the Treaty of Sevres without of course mentioning that his country signed it as Turkey, because he is aware that his voters have a dislike for the term, as they see it as proof of their defeat.
He should have at least, according to Turkish reasoning, made reference to the Lausanne Treaty, but he had previously received criticism from other political parties, especially the Kemalists, that he would have done nothing more, he should therefore not criticize beyond him elements.
Nevertheless, it’s quite interesting how important the Treaty of Sevres remains 100 years after, and how the Treaty of Paris supports it in the Dodecanese .
