Finally, the licensing contract in regards to marine block 7 was granted to the Total and Eni consortium .
Therefore Cyprus has licensed maritime blocks 2, 3, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11 and 12.
There is now a cohesive context with maritime blocks 6, 7, 8 and 9 which are located right above row 10, 11 and 12.
This means that the energean Cypriot chess board has been enhanced through the EEZ, and a consequence of that is the reinforcement of Cyprus.
It additionally proves that the Total and Eni oil companies not only remain within the Cypriot EEZ, but they have further more created a strategic alliance.
This fact is also associated with the submission to the Greek Parliament of the contracts between Greece and the Exxon Mobil, Total and Hellenic Petroleum consortium regarding the marine regions West of Crete and Southwest of Crete .
Consequently, we have developments at a strategic level in both countries, and this in actual fact constitutes yet another alliance, since no one can any longer question its existence at official levels.
Simultaneously, we can see that Turkey’s drilling rigs have now departed from their positions within the Cypriot EEZ.
Therefore, we can see that the continuation of the constructive strategy of the two Greek countries is what offers the greatest endurance even towards the irrational attacks of Turkey when it tries in every way whatsoever to dig into the Cypriot EEZ.
