The monumental value of the Rally transformed it into a historical one, and it negated all the estimates of defeatism. The presence of Hellenism in Thessaloniki proved that the Greek nation doesn’t forget what’s of substance, even when it goes through difficult times on economic issues. Consequently, the Historic Rally pointed out to Skopje that there is resistance at a national level, and that it’s impossible for anyone to negotiate re: any national issue assuming that the Greek nation will be indifferent. Skopje can not bet upon an easy negotiation, because it became clear enough that we will not accede at the negotiations. Therefore if they were under the impression that they could easily take advantage of ideological openings, they now realized that the resistance would be quite strong. Additionally, because of its magnitude, the Rally has already become a benchmark for the continuation of the negotiations as well as any future developments. This in actual fact means that the inconceivable occurred, and that it will affect all the geopolitical data. The Skopian is not an issue that has come to an end, and Skopje will not be released from Greece’s claims. We have rights, and a country which wants to join the two hyperstructures such as the European Union and NATO, where by the way Greece is a Member State can not ignore them, because we have the right to use the European acquis but also the veto as well. Consequently, without pressure, without haste, we can see that the arguments presented during the Historic Rally will function in a catalytic manner, in order to create a new dynamics which others thought that it was no longer possible. Without compromises to unacceptable data, we are proceeding strategically
