24977 - The strategic Kurdish problem

The classical approaches of the Kurdish question give the impression that it is about one and only issue of human rights within an area which names itself a country. The real problem is of strategic nature and it is presented already in a clear manner through the Serves Treaty and the delimitations of President Wilson upon request of the European Powers. This region was not engraved arbitrarily and wasn’t done only for the partition of the Empire. It simply followed the ethnologic reality. Now some people found that things have changed radically with the genocides of the Armenians, the Assyrians and the Greeks. The same people examine the Treaties of Kars, Lausanne and Ankara as facts without realizing that they don’t cover the Kurdish reality. Also they don’t take into account the Armenians that remained cryptochristians neither the others who violently became muslims. The result is that the Kurds but also the Armenians exist in many regions which we call Kurdistan and Western Armenia and they cannot be taken as negligent for the present and even more for the future. Because these two peoples will sooner or later be officially in their land and not simply under the yoke of an occupation regime that doesn’t respect even their presence in the territories she controls. This approach of course has geopolitical consequences which we have to realize too in order to become activated in practice within this struggle of the people who suffer without substantial reason, just because barbarity didn’t stop.
